Caveat emptor indeed, and use that 30 day evaluation period to make up your mind about purchasing, but 'no refunds' is hardly an uncommon policy where software is involved. I don't use HRD and I'm not associated with the company, but I can clearly see why they won't issue a refund once a license is delivered. I suppose HRD could institute that kind of setup, but my experience with such is that they generally work poorly, result in security complaints that the software is phoning home, cause problems if you move the software from one machine to another, and are just generally an expensive pain in the neck for companies to support and maintain. Unless you have some cumbersome networked license server scheme where the software phones home every time you run it to see if the license is valid, you have no way to know (other than via your own good faith) that the person who demanded a refund actually discarded the license and is not running the software. This latest version follows the release of version 5. HRD Software, LLC announced on February 29,2012 they have released new version 5.11a of (HRD) Ham Radio Deluxe. The company I work for won't give refunds for licenses either, once they are cut and sent out. Learn how to remove Ham Radio Deluxe Version 5.24.38.0 from your computer. Is 30 days not enough to test out some software? I don't really understand the problem with the concept of a non-refundable license.
